The showcase featured several works of art by Creative Clay artists which are now on display at the Tax Collector’s Office. Developmentally disabled artists also painted portraits of Tax Collector Randolph, Tax Collector employees and guests which will also be displayed to highlight the importance of making art accessible to all.
“The arts offer an incredible outlet for individuals to express themselves and showcase their creativity,”
Tax Collector Scott Randolph said. “We’re so happy to partner with Creative Clay and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida to display these artists’ work to the hundreds of customers that visit our Winter Garden Office each and every day.”
The Tax Collector’s Artist Showcase features six paintings by Creative Clay artists under the theme, “Transportation”. The artwork, along with the portraits painted on site, will be displayed at the Winter Garden Office until October 7.
Kim Dohrman, Chief Executive Officer of Creative Clay, said, “One of Creative Clay’s top priorities is to explore inclusive opportunities for our artists. Exhibitions outside of Creative Clay’s gallery and studios give our artists the chance to participate in the community fully. We are thankful for the Orange County Tax Collector’s office for this partnership.”
